Bob Haber, CFA

Bob Haber is an award winning portfolio manager who was directly responsible for managing over $20 billion at Fidelity Investments Canada. Bob was the Chief Investment Officer of Fidelity Investments Canada for 12 years and also Head of Equities for Pyramis Global Advisors, a Fidelity Investments company. Mr. Haber was also portfolio manager of both the Fidelity Canadian Disciplined Equity Fund and the Fidelity Canadian Balanced Fund from their inception in September 1998 to March 2009. These funds each earned the prestigious 2009 Canada Lipper Fund Award as the top-performing fund of the decade in each of their respective Lipper categories (Canadian Equity and Canadian Neutral Balanced).

Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Haber was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company, and a chemical engineer and engineering analyst with Exxon Corporation. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in chemical engineering from Tufts University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder. Mr. Haber is currently an owner of the Boston Celtics basketball team and a member of its Board of Directors.

Bob manages the Canoe EnerVest Diversified Income Trust, Canoe 'GO CANADA' Income Fund, Canoe Strategic Resources Income Fund, Canoe Canadian Monthly Income Class, Canoe Canadian Asset Allocation Class and the Canoe Canadian Equity Class.

Mr. Haber is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Haber Trilix Advisors, LP, who is a sub-advisor to Canoe Financial LP.


Rafi G. Tahmazian

Rafi G. Tahmazian has more than 22 years of investment management and oil & gas experience.  He is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager and Partner with Canoe Financial.  Prior to Canoe, Rafi spent 13 years at First Energy Capital, a leading investment dealer that focuses on the energy industry.  He left the firm in 2008 as Vice Chairman and Managing Director.  He is currently on the Board of Artek Exploration, Sulvaris Corp and the Alberta Balancing Pool.

Rafi graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Rafi manages the Canoe Canadian Energy Class, Canoe Energy Income Class, Canoe EnerVest Natural Resource Fund Ltd., Canoe EnerVest Energy & Oil Sands Total Return Trust, the Canoe Flow-Through Limited Partnerships and the Canoe Unique Energy Funds.


Marc Goldfried, CFA

Marc Goldfried has more than 20 years of investment management experience. Marc has been the lead portfolio manager for the AEGON Capital Management fixed-income fund mandates since joining the firm in 1999 and holds the position of Senior Vice-President, head of Fixed Income at AEGON Capital Management Inc. Marc began his career in 1991 at Elliott and Page Ltd., where he progressed from Analyst to Portfolio Manager, Fixed-Income, responsible for the co-management of $2 billion in total return fixed-income accounts.

Marc graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1990, and became a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder in 1998. He is a member of the Toronto CFA Society and the CFA Institute.

Marc is the portfolio manager for the Canoe Bond Advantage Fund and Class, and is the lead portfolio manager for the Canoe Enhanced Income Fund and Class.

Mr. Goldfried is Senior Vice-President, head of Fixed-Income Investments at AEGON Capital Management Inc., who is a sub-advisor to Canoe Financial LP.


Stephen Carlin, CFA

Stephen Carlin is an award-winning portfolio manager with more than 20 years of investment management experience.  Stephen is the lead portfolio manager for the AEGON Capital Management equity fund mandates and holds the position of Senior Vice-President, head of Equities at AEGON Capital Management Inc. Stephen Carlin, and his team, beat 100% of its competitors in 2011 in the Canadian Equity Balanced Category and was named the best fund in its category over five years. Prior to joining AEGON in 2009, Stephen was Canadian Equity Portfolio Manager with KBSH. Other past positions include Director, Canadian Equities at CT Investment Management Group, Portfolio Manager, Canadian Equities at BonaVista Asset Management and investment analyst at Confed Investment Counselling and Crown Life. Before entering the investment industry, Steve spent four years in commercial banking.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (B.A.) and a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder.  He is a member of the CFA Institute and Toronto CFA Society.

Stephen is lead portfolio manager for the Canoe Equity Income Class, and portfolio manager of the equity portion of the Enhanced Income Fund and Class.

Mr. Carlin is the Senior Vice-President, Head of Equities, at AEGON Capital Management Inc., who is a sub-advisor to Canoe Financial LP.


Nevin G. Markwart, CFA

Nevin Markwart has extensive experience managing investment teams and financial products both in Canada and the United States.  Most recently he was Head of Canadian Equities and a member of the executive management team at Fidelity Investments Canada.  Previous experience includes senior responsibilities with Wellington Management and Standish, Ayer and Wood, Inc., both investment advisory firms based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nevin holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Northeastern University in Boston and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder and Certified Financial Planner.

Prior to his investment career, Nevin was the Boston Bruins' first pick in the 1983 NHL entry draft and enjoyed a nine year NHL career from 1983 to 1992 with the Boston Bruins and the Calgary Flames.

Nevin manages the Canoe Canadian Money Market Class.


James Rife

James Rife is Assistant Portfolio Manager for Canoe Canadian Asset Alloaction Class, Canoe Canadian Equity Class and the Canoe Canadian Monthly Income Class.  Prior to joining Haber Trilix Advisors LP in 2011, James worked as an Analyst at Fidelity Investments Team Canada group for five years. During that time, he was primarily responsible for coverage of the Energy sector, particularly Oil & Gas Exploration, Production, Transportation, and Refining. Earlier during his tenure at Fidelity Investments, he covered the Utilities, Forestry, and Technology sectors. 

James is a graduate of the University of British Colombia with a Bachelor of Commerce, and also has received the following designations from the Canadian Securities Institute: Canadian Investment Manager, Financial Management Advisor and Derivatives Market Specialist.

James manages the Canoe Capital Appreciation Class. 

James Rife is an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Haber Trilix Advisors, LP., who is a sub-advisor to Canoe Financial LP.
